WARMLY INVITED

I saw a church sign the other day that said "you are warmly invited to join us".  I thought that would  be a good invitation to use for this blog. You are warmly invited to link with us or just visit other links and be blessed in that way.

Those of you who have been sharing with us for a long while will probably remember when Kelee Katillac of Design Gives Back did a room makeover for cancer patient Colette. And we, at Spiritual Sundays along with others were privileged to help make it possible by making comments on this blog. I just received an e-mail from Kelee. Here is part of that message:

I wanted you all to know that Colette is still with us now 3 years later! It was 3 years this month that she received her 15% chance of survival -- -- for a few months -- diagnosis. 

She is eternally grateful to all who have supported her. She is doing new experimental treatments.

She is proof that faith, hope and love do change things.

Welcome Back Again

So here we are again and we are well into October. This is my favorite time of year, but it passes by so quickly. Life passes by so quickly. I'm sure you have noticed that the older you get the faster the time flies. I'm reminded of the scripture that says life is like a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. It is so true. It is a good reminder that we should stay focused on things that really matter in this life. But, I know, there are so many distractions. Hopefully coming here each week and spending some time visiting other blogs and reading what others have shared will be helpful in our quest to focus on important things.

Thank you for all the nice comments and birthday wishes. I did have a wonderful birthday.

There are almost 500 people following this blog now. I'm thinking by the end of the year that number may be reached. Numbers don't necessarily mean a whole lot except that in this case it means more and more people are coming here and being blessed each week. I'm happy and thankful for that.

I've had an eventful week. Dishwasher broke and is not fixed yet, but good news is that it is still under warranty. Broke a piece off one of my crowns so it was a trip to the dentist. Good news it just needed to be filed and smoothed up. He didn't even charge me for it. And today is my birthday. So, it's time to celebrate. I hope all of you are having a good week.
