Where did it go? The week went by so fast. Life goes by so fast. It is just a few days until Thanksgiving. If I was a turkey I would be getting worried about now. No, I guess not. I doubt seriously if turkeys worry. But how about you and me? Many times our concern turns into worry when we become overwhelmed with the cares of this life. When this happens I hope we can remember the scripture about the lilies of the field and the birds of the air. Our heavenly Father takes care of them and He has promised to take care of us too if we will put our trust in Him. God loved us so much that He sent His only son to come to earth, show us how to live and then die for us to pay the penalty for all our sins. How can we not love Him back and trust our lives into His care and service?

A true witness delivers souls, But a deceitful witness speaks lies. - Proverbs 14:25 (NKJV)
Great advice not to worry! God does say it a lot of times in his word for us to trust in him, that he knows our needs! I just need to get that into my thick skull! It is amazing how fast this year went by that we are thinking of Thankgiving in less than two weeks!

Only this week, when answering a comment on my blog, I realized that when I doubt God and worry, I'm putting faith in my own abilities - not His.

ReplyDeleteI often notice that, too, Charlotte, how time flies so swiftly! But we need not spend our times worrying, for God takes all our anxieties away when we immerse ourselves in the Word, give ourselves unto prayer and seek His face earnestly and steadfastly.

Experiences in life have taught me not to worry because God will guide me. It isn't always an easy lesson to learn, but it is an unimaginable gift for each of us.
